A body has been found in the search for missing Co Down man Bryn Williams.
The Community Rescue Service (CRS) from Belfast has confirmed that a member of the public discovered the body in the North Down coastal area on Boxing Day.
The PSNI stated: “Police can confirm that the body of a man was found in Groomsport earlier today, Friday 26th December.
“Formal identification will take place in due course; however the family of missing person Bryn Williams has been made aware.”
Mr Williams was last seen in his home town of Groomsport on Saturday, December 6.
A spokesperson for the CRS said that for the past number of days, they “had been deployed to the area alongside NISAR colleagues from Coastguard, PSNI, RNLI and Search & Rescue Dog Association – SARDA Ireland North to an ongoing search.
