Forensic teams have been spotted scouring a Glasgow street following the death of a man who was found injured on Christmas Day.
Emergency crews raced to the scene in the west end of the city at around 11.40pm on December 25, where a 38-year-old man was found injured. He was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the hospital. Officers from Police Scotland have locked down Napiershall Street and North Woodside Road in the Woodside area following the incident.
Photos taken at the scene show forensic officers and hazmat teams, dressed in full-body white suits, masks, and gloves, pacing the street which has been sealed off with tape, stopping motorists and pedestrians from entering.
Locals have generally reported a large police presence in the area, following the fatality. One eyewitness previously told Glasgow Live: “There’s a big police presence and they have said it’s a serious incident.

“We live on one of the side streets and weren’t allowed to drive down and park at our flat,” while another said: “The road is cordoned off with police tape and detectives wearing white hazmat suits are also at the scene.”
Police Scotland says there will be a continued presence in the area while investigations take place.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Around 11.40pm on Thursday, 25 December, 2025, we received a report of an injured man in Napiershall Street, Glasgow.
“Emergency services attended and a 38-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
“Officers are following a positive line of enquiry and there will be a continued police presence in the area. Anyone with any concerns can approach these officers.
“Napiershall Street and North Woodside Road are closed to allow for investigations.”
