Locals have raised concerns about the condition of the North Lodge Road Pathway and road, according to councillor Jamie McGuire.

He says the Caledonia Water Alliance, which completed the works along with Scottish Water, are currently in dispute with Renfrewshire Council over who bears responsibility for the damage at this location.

This includes the overgrown and unusable footpath, as well as the muddy, flooded and damaged road surface.

Writing on Facebook, McGuire said: “I’m aware of ongoing concerns at the dead end of North Lodge Road, where the pathway and road have been left in a very poor condition following works carried out by Scottish Water / Caledonia Water Alliance.

“I’ve been in contact with council officers, and they are currently in dispute with Caledonia Water Alliance, who are disputing responsibility for the damage at this location.

“This includes the overgrown and unusable footpath, as well as the muddy, flooded and damaged road surface.

“Unfortunately, due to the Christmas shutdown, this matter cannot progress further until the New Year.

“That said, I am continuing to push for this to be resolved as quickly as possible once offices reopen.

“Residents should not be left with unsafe or unusable infrastructure, and I will be pressing for accountability and remedial works.

“I’ll provide a further update as soon as I have one.”
