The helicopter circled for an hour

A police helicopter was deployed over Bristol to help officers search for a driver suspected of driving without insurance.
The helicopter was seen circling over the Cadbury Heath area yesterday evening (Sunday, December 28).
A man in his early 20s has been arrested on suspicion of driving while disqualified and using a vehicle on the road without insurance.
The man has been released under investigation.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: “We were called at about 6.15pm on Sunday 28 December to a report that a car was being driven without insurance in Cadbury Heath.
“A man, in his early twenties, was arrested on suspicion of driving while disqualified and using a vehicle on a road without third party insurance.
“He has been released under investigation.”
A spokesperson for the National Police Air Service (NPAS) said: “At 1937hrs on 28 December 2025, a police helicopter crew from Almondsbury were deployed to support Avon and Somerset Police with an area containment in the Bristol area.
“Total flying time on the task was around 1 hour and 1 minute.”
