The Falcons turned its lead to three after it tallied :28 seconds into the middle frame, and added another in the second at 10:31. The U.S. upped its team pressure and started to settle in as it nearly tripled its shot total with 10 in the period.
Team USA and Plante got on the board :04 seconds into a power play chance. An offensive-zone draw was snapped back to Jamie Glance (Stratham, N.H.) who fired one on net. The initial shot was blocked, but Plante was there to clean things up past starting Falcon netminder Tyler Palmer at 12:14 of the second.
Bowling Green tacked on another at 5:19 of the third to make it a 5-1 game. The Falcons capped off the scoring with its sixth of the game, on the power play, at 15:09 to account for the 6-1 final.
Luke Carrithers (Maple Grove, Minn.) started in net for Team USA and turned aside 36 shots.
The U18s are back at USA Hockey Arena tomorrow (Dec. 30) for its final game of 2025 as it’ll host Utica University.
