A Lanarkshire dog who had spent “too long being overlooked” has found his happy ending after finding his forever home. Stanley, who was in the care of the Scottish SPCA, found kennel life tough and simply wanted a home of his own.

The gently affectionate boy was looking for somewhere where he could soak up all the love and attention, and that’s exactly what he found when his new owners Laura and Nigel took him home. Stanley had a soft nature, took treats with care, and always leaned into a cuddle – greeting everyone with warmth.

And when his new owners spotted him on the SSPCA’s website, they noticed his gentle eyes and decided he was the one for them.

Now, Stanley is thriving. He races around his garden with his rugby ball and tyre tug toy, and is always full of zoomies when the mood strikes. He’s friendly on his walks, but prefers a wee snooze when it’s raining. Inside, his loving personality shines, through cuddles, belly rubs, and climbing onto laps (despite having no idea of his size).

The pooch is clever, eager to learn, wonderfully goofy, and adored wherever he goes. His family says he has filled their home with laughter, fun, and love.
