A yellow weather warning for ice and snow has been issued for parts of Wales on Friday.

The Met Office said the warning was in place from 00:00 GMT until 12:00 on 2 January.

Forecasters have cautioned that buses and trains may be delayed due to the weather and advised people to plan ahead for car journeys and allow more time.

The Met Office said 1-2cm (0.4-0.8in) of snow was likely for some, with as much as 5cm (2in) on higher ground.
