Argus Camera Club member Claire Andrews photographed the unusual animal after noticing its pale coat and striking pinkish eyes.
While it may look almost magical, the squirrel is believed to be an albino grey squirrel, a rare genetic variant caused by a lack of pigment.

In one particularly striking shot, the squirrel can be seen clutching a chestnut, adding to the appeal of the encounter.
Such sightings are uncommon, making the encounter all the more special for park visitors.
Claire’s images are a reminder that Brighton’s green spaces continue to offer surprising glimpses of wildlife, even in the heart of the city.
