Nicola Roberts has shared an important message with her followers as she looks back on an eventful year to remember. The Girls Aloud star shared a lengthy post to look back on her 2025 and issues a telling five-word message to let sink in.
The singer turned 40 last year and is now expecting her first child. And she told fans that no matter what age they are, “don’t let anyone rush you”.
The touching comment comes as the star opened up on the last few months of her life and explained just how much things have changed. Sharing on Instagram, she wrote: “Some looking back. In October, within 2 weeks I opened in my first west end lead role, learnt I was pregnant and turned 40.

“It was a whirlwind and I was barely able to acknowledge to myself my milestone birthday. 2025 has been full of surprises but I’m exactly where I wished I’d be. I was dealing with the most almighty nausea and so I never did get round to composing a birthday post at the time.
“Looking back here on this gorgeous birthday celebration with all of my closest friends and family. It will forever be my favourite thing to have everyone I love in the one room.
“This year has validated for me more than ever that you’re on your own timeline. Don’t let anyone rush you. 40 has only just started and it’s already my most special one yet. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE. May 2026 bring you all the happiness xxx”
She ended by giving special thanks to sarah @love_entertainment_ who have been organising her birthdays and celebrations for 20 years now. “This was a stunning night and I couldn’t have done it without you. You’re truly the best,” she gushed.
Among those rushing to the comments section were former bandmate Kimberley Walsh. The singer simply shared five red love heart emojis with her pal.
Nicola announced she is expecting her first child last week. It comes eight months after she confirmed her engagement to footballer Mitch Hahn, 36.
The Sticks + Stones singer took to social media to reveal the news. She said: “Mitch and I have had the most magical Christmas Day sharing the most precious news with our families. We’ve been keeping a secret. We are five months pregnant! We can’t wait to meet our little one in the spring.”
The duo confirmed their relationship in June 2022. They went public while attending Elton John’s British Summertime performance at Hyde Park. During the sweet date night, the pair appeared loved-up as The Masked Singer star appeared smitten with her man.
And last year, Nicola took to the stage at Brighton Pride for Girls Aloud’s final performance wearing an engagement ring. It’s believed that Mitch had gotten down on one knee during a holiday in the South of France.
