The much loved ‘Drum & Bass On The Bike’ event is ‘coming home’ to Bristol this Bank Holiday weekend.

Dom Whiting, the man behind the event which in the past has seen thousands join him for a bike ride while he DJs Drum & Bass music on his own bike, has announced details of the next event, just days away.

Taking to social media earlier this week, Dom shared a photo of himself and his DJ bike inside Ashton Gate Stadium, where Bristol City FC and Bristol Bears rugby play.

Alongside the photo, he simply wrote: “Bristol, it’s almost time”.

Prior to this, on April 28, Dom posted a message confirming plans for his next event. He said: “Bristol Bristol Bristol!

“Drum & Bass On The Bike is coming home to Bristol this Bank Holiday weekend on Sunday, May 4, starting at 2pm from the Ashton Gate Stadium (car park) – BS3 2EJ.

“I can’t wait to get everybody out for this one, specifically with it being in Bristol as it’s always such a class and important ride showcasing so many different and unique aspects in its very own way.

“As always, anyone and any mode of transport (rollerskates, skateboards, scooters, runners etc) are welcome and you can of course bring your own speaker by simply hooking up to our online livestream wherever you are in the crowd.

“This is it. This is the one. Tag your family and friends and see you Sunday!”

Back in March 2024, BristolLive reported how thousands of people had flocked to Bristol City Centre to join the bike ride with Dom.

The event first came to Bristol in May 2021, when he rode through the city on a bike while DJing D&B music, with the aim of bringing positivity to people around him.

The event was a huge success, and now Dom will be embarking on his fourth year of Drum and Bass On A Bike in Bristol.

Last year, when speaking with BristolLive, Dom said: “To be honest, it is a key part of my year.

“I first started here in 2021 and since then, I have come here and it’s always been received very well and attracts loads of people.

“We want it to be more accessible for not just our age group but the younger generation.”

The concept sees the DJ travel to cities across the UK and Europe hosting bike rides to his mixes. He streams the entire set/ride on Facebook for all to see, even those further back in the crowd.

The route has not yet been unveiled, but previous routes from the City Centre and Amphitheatre ventured to locations including Brandon Hill, Park Street, The Bearpit, Stokes Croft, Cabot Circus, Castle Park, and The Harbourside.
