Revolution! MayDay Weekender is being held on Saturday and Sunday (May 3 to 4) at SOAS University of London and offers a weekend of “discussions on the political crises and how we organise”.
“Join a wide range of authors, activists and left-wing commentators for two days of discussions on the multiple crises we face and how we chart a strategy for the left,” a statement on the event website reads.
As well as Islington North MP Mr Corbyn and The Crown actor Abdalla, the list of speakers includes Holocaust survivor Stephen Kapos and author Lindsey German.
Tickets are £20 or £7.50 for students.
The event is set to take place within the SOAS confines and will cause minimal disruption across London.
An organiser added: “We have limited free tickets available for anyone who can’t afford to purchase a ticket and there will be free childcare at the event, please email [email protected] to enquire.”
When is the next PSC action?
The Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) is not planning any action for May Day weekend but does have further events coming up.
And then, on May 17, the PSC will “mark the 77th anniversary of the 1948 Nakba and demand our government take action to end the ongoing ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from their land”. The 1948 Nakba refers to the displacement of Palestinians following the Arab-Israeli war.
