The Roxy Lanes bowling and entertainment facility is set to close this weekend for a rebrand. Located on School Lane in the Liverpool city centre, the venue is under the Professionals at Play umbrella, the competitive socialising company behind Roxy Ball Room and King Pins.

Roxy Lanes opened in 2023 as the company’s third city centre venue with the new location focusing specifically on bowling. There are also Roxy Ball Room venues in the Cavern Quarter and Hanover Street. The entertainment facilities activity lists includes beer pong, ice-free curling, karaoke, shuffleboard, tech darts and ten-pin bowling.

Although the Roxy venues are strictly for adults, those under 18 were allowed entry in Roxy Lanes until 5pm on Saturdays and every other night until 7pm so long as they’re accompanied by a supervising adult.

Roxy Lanes will close at 6pm on Sunday, January 4, for a two-week period, reopening on Thursday, January 15 under its new name, Star Pins.

The rebrand will see the american pool tables “ripped out” and replaced with classic pay-as-you-go arcade machines. Star Pins will offer all of the same activities guests have come to enjoy with ten-pin bowling at the core of its offerings.

The Star Pins Liverpool location’s website description reads: “Right in the heart of the city, our Liverpool venue is packed with bowling, a brilliant mix of interactive games, and food and drink that hit the spot – all in one place.

“From family outings to after-work get-togethers and special celebrations, Star Pins is your go-to destination for good times, great flavours, and plenty of fun.”

Roxy Leisure’s extensive food and drink menu will also be on offer, with pizza, hot dogs, wings and fries readily available.
