The Ivory Coast winger is currently on loan at Hapoel Petah Tikva but belongs to Maccabi Netanya.

The Hoops have shown significant interest in the young talent and have reportedly made an increased offer.

Currently, Ta Bi is out of action due to an ankle injury, but scans indicate it isn’t serious and he should be back in two weeks.

Despite this, reports from Israel indicate that Ta Bi’s move to Scottish football is set to be finalised soon.

This will make him the second signing of much-debated manager Wilfried Nancy, who recently signed Mexican international Julian Araujo on loan.

After Hapoel Petah Tikva’s weekend win over Hapoel Kfar Saba, a club spokesman, who wished to remain unnamed, was cited in the Israeli press saying: “We have been informed by Maccabi Netanya that there has only been one official offer for Jocelin Ta Bi and it was from Celtic.

“We expect him to leave in the coming days.”

The reported transfer fee is about £2 million, of which £250,000 will go to his loan club as compensation for ending his season-long loan early.

With Ta Bi’s impending move to Celtic, the Scottish club seems to have successfully fended off competition from Belgian side Gent.

Ta Bi has made quite an impact in the Israeli league this season, with 20 appearances in which he scored two goals and provided two assists.
