In another busy week for CommBank Socceroos abroad, Nestory Irankunda picked up assists in back-to-back matches in England, while Maty Ryan produced a top goalkeeping performance in Spain’s top flight.

In Spain, Maty Ryan (cap #555) put in an outstanding, match-winning display for Levante, guiding the side to a 3-0 win against Sevilla this morning. During the match, Ryan made seven saves, including a penalty save in stoppage time.
Several Socceroos featured three times over the past week in England’s second tier, with some notable highlights.
Nestory Irankunda (cap #643) assisted Watford’s last-minute winner against Norwich City after coming on in the 79th minute. It was the winger’s goal contribution since August. Irankunda shone again on Friday morning, coming on at halftime and grabbing another assist in Watford’s 3-0 win against Birmingham City, pushing the side up to fourth in the table.
Also on Tuesday morning, Cameron Burgess (cap #633) played all of Swansea City’s 1-0 win against Oxford United. Burgess contributed once again to a Swansea clean sheet as they edged past West Brom 1-0 on Friday. Today, Burgess played another full game as Swansea lost 2-1 to Millwall.
Continuing with the Tuesday morning action, Callum Elder (cap #614) notched an assist in Derby County’s 2-1 loss to Leicester City. Elder then played a full game as Derby beat Middlesbrough 1-0 on Friday morning. Elder played an hour this morning as Derby lost 2-1 to Wrexham.
Sam Silvera (cap #634) came on in the 76th minute for Middlesbrough against Derby. But today, the winger scored in his full game for Middlesbrough as the side beat Southampton 4-0. It was his first goal of the season.
Also, Lewis Miller (cap #635) played a full game for Blackburn Rovers in a 0-0 draw with Sheffield Wednesday. The fullback played another full game as Blackburn beat Wrexham 2-0 on Friday morning. Today, Miller picked up an assist in a 2-2 draw with Charlton, playing the full match.
Concluding the week’s Championship football, Hayden Matthews (cap #648) played until the 64th minute of Portsmouth’s 2-1 win against Charlton Athletic, before coming on after 62 minutes as Portsmouth lost 5-0 to Bristol City on Friday. September window call-up Adrian Segecic picked up an assist in his full game against Charlton, before playing another full match in the Bristol defeat.
Moving to Italy’s Serie A, Alessandro Circati (cap #637) played all of Parma’s 1-1 draw with Sassuolo on Sunday morning.
