Following its sell-out success in spring 2025, whisky connoisseurs, Exploring Whisky, have announced their return to Bristol this New Year.

Set to take place on Saturday 7th February 2026 at the Paintworks Event Space, the Exploring Whisky Bristol event will celebrate the art of whisky making, while showcasing some of the most innovative, impressive and inspirational makers and bottlers, including from the city itself.

Hosted by Exploring Whisky, founder Richard Foster commented on the event: “We set out to celebrate the best craft distilleries and independent bottlers across the world and we’re thrilled to bring this eclectic mix of brands to Bristol once more to fly the flag for the small batch, craft producers and bottlers – none of whom are part of the global spirits giants who dominate this sector day-to-day”.

Returning for a second time to the South West, local whisky lovers will have the chance to sample a selection of 25+ brands on offer during one of two sessions, with the first running from 12pm to 3pm and the second from 4pm to 7pm.

In addition, exhibitors will pour from their ranges and talk visitors through the stories, styles and craft of each variety, with all samples included in the ticket price.

Bottles of your favourite drams will be on sale at the pop-up whisky shop operated by local whisky specialists Spirited, from North Street in Southville.

Food traders will also be on hand in a dedicated street food court, ensuring guests can refuel between tastings.

The event welcomes all whisky fans (over the age of 18), whether you’re a connoisseur or new to the whisky scene. All of the exhibitors are known for their friendly, informative approach and will tailor their guidance to each visitor’s experience and taste preferences.

Asked about coming back to the South West, Richard said “We are delighted to be returning to Bristol after last year’s sold-out event, and we’re sure tickets will go just as quickly this time, so we would encourage anyone who wants to attend to book quickly!”

Tickets for the event start from £27.50, which includes a branded Glencairn tasting glass provided by glassware sponsors Summerton Whisky Club. Free highballs will also be served by Larkfire. Guests are encouraged to bring their own refillable water bottles and enjoy the day responsibly.
