Eiran Cashin has signed for Blackburn
Brighton have recalled Eiran Cashin from his loan at Birmingham City and sent him to Blackburn Rovers.
Cashin was a bit-part player for Blues in the first half of the season, making just three starts and a further eight appearances off the bench in the Championship.
Two errors on his full league debut against Sheffield Wednesday in September saw Cashin drop down the pecking order behind Christoph Klarer, Phil Neumann and Jack Robinson.
Injuries over Christmas saw Cashin start two games at left-back against Derby County and Southampton before a further two outings off the bench versus Watford and Coventry City.
A cameo against Coventry, in which Cashin played as part of a back three, proved to be the 24-year-old’s final outing in Royal Blue.
The defender, who was signed by Brighton from Derby for £8million 12 months ago, will now link up with Blackburn .
Rovers play a back three under Valerien Ismael and have fielded rookie George Pratt on the left side of their defence of late.
