
A MAN has died after an incident on a busy Scots railway line.
Emergency crews were called to reports of the injured person on the tracks near West Kilbride train station in Ayrshire this morning.

Tragically, they were pronounced dead at the scene.
Their death is not being treated as suspicious by cops.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “Officers were called to a report of a casualty on the tracks at 7.45am this morning (7 January) near West Kilbride railway station.
“Officers and paramedics attended and sadly a person was pronounced deceased.

“The incident is not thought to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for the Procurator Fiscal.”
Fire chiefs have deployed two fire engines and other specialist units to the scene.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We supported emergency service partners at an incident on the railway line between Largs and West Kilbride.
“Operations Control mobilised two appliances and other specialist resources to the area after the alarm was raised at 7.52am on Wednesday, 7 January.”

The Scottish Ambulance Service added: “We received a call today at 07:48 hours to attend an incident in West Kilbride and dispatched one ambulance to the scene.”
Trains running between Glasgow Central and Largs have been disrupted while mercy crews handle the tragedy.
ScotRail said: “The emergency services are dealing with an incident in the Largs area which means the line is currently blocked.
“Glasgow Central to Largs Services be cancelled, delayed, or will terminate and restart from Kilwinning.”
Network Rail said disruption is expected to last until 11am.
It has forced rail chiefs to close all stations inbetween West Kilbride and Largs.
Network Rail added: “The emergency services are dealing with an incident between West Kilbride and Largs.
“Whilst they carry out their work, all lines between these stations are closed.
“Trains will not run to / from Largs and will be revised to start / terminate at Kilwinning or Ardrossan South Beach.
“Disruption is expected until 11am.”
