Noel Gallagher says he would like to play a villain in the next 007 film and would happily write the next Bond song if asked.
The Oasis rocker, 58, also said that any track for the next instalment should be performed by a British artist. Asked how he would respond if Barbara Broccoli phoned him up, Gallagher said: “I’d say ‘all right Babs’… for Oasis to do it?
“Absolutely, yeah of course, it’d be an absolute honour, you know. I think those kind of things should be done by Brits and, you know, not Yanks.”
He also clarified that he has not been asked, amid speculation the band were top of Amazon’s wishlist. However, he joked on TalkSport with Andy Goldstein that he would be up for playing a “Mancunian villain” in the film.

Noel has previously claimed he was interested in providing a Bond song. He said in the past: “I’ve written a couple of Bond theme tunes.
“They haven’t got very Bond-esque titles, so I would have to tailor the title accordingly. The latest one that I wrote, I listened back to it thinking, ‘F***ing hell man, that’d make a f***ing great Bond theme’.”
Lead guitarist Noel recently wrapped up the highly anticipated Oasis Live 25 reunion world tour alongside brother Liam, 53, and their bandmates.
It came nearly 15 years after the band’s dramatic split following a fallout between the siblings. The 007 franchise is yet to announce who will portray the iconic secret agent, as well as who will be responsible for delivering a theme song.

Artists who have lent their voices to the blockbusters in recent years include Adele with Skyfall (2012), Billie Eilish with No Time To Die (2020) and Madonna with Die Another Day (2002). Broccoli and fellow producer Michael G Wilson have stepped away after handing over creative control to Amazon MGM studios as part of a lucrative deal, with the pair remaining as co-owners of the franchise.
The official franchise had been controlled by members of the Broccoli family, either single-handedly or in partnership with others, since the first 007 movie, Dr No, in 1962.
In August, it was announced British screenwriter Steven Knight, 65, would write the next film.
Oasis are known for songs including Wonderwall, Live Forever, Shakermaker and Half the World Away.
