The Marine and Wildlife Rescue charity was called out twice in quick succession on Tuesday, January 6 following reports that a Muntjac deer was trapped in Suffolk and a Chinese water deer was injured near the roadside in Norfolk.
The animal rescue charity sent a team of volunteers to assess the situations during call-outs in Lowestoft and near Loddon.
The trapped Muntjac deer required assistance in Lowestoft, while the Chinese water deer was assessed near Loddon.

A post on the Marine and Wildlife Rescue Facebook page said: “The trapped deer in Lowestoft had sustained a foot injury and was sheltered within a storage container.
“We freed that deer and in fact didn’t manage to handle it as it charged out of the confined space while we attempted to contain it.
“The deer was in good shape otherwise.”
On Tuesday evening the charity responded to the Chinese water deer after it was spotted collapsed at the roadside on the A146 near Loddon.
They said: “After a short assessment, the deer, that had a couple of grazes, was able to stand and made for the shelter of a hedge in the immediate area away from the main road.
“This was a rather fortunate and pragmatic end to what could have been a very different outcome for both of the deer.
“Deer tend to be highly stressed and it was quite a relief that both of these that we attended worked out positive.”
