Callum Wilson’s stint with West Ham United looks like it will be a short-lived one.
Wilson joined West Ham on a free transfer in the summer but he has managed to score just four goals in 18 games for the Hammers.
And the 33-year-old former Newcastle United and Bournemouth striker could be set for pastures new in the January transfer window.
That’s because West Ham have signed striking duo Pablo and Taty Castellanos and getting Wilson’s wages off the books would help to balance the books.

West Ham have actually denied that Wilson could be released after reports claimed the club were ready to move him on.
However, the Hammers board’s stance may well change if an offer is actually made for the striker.
West Ham’s Callum Wilson set for January transfer window move
Wilson is actually a really good striker.
The problem is that his best days are behind him. Had the Hammers signed him five years ago, he would undoubtedly have been a huge hit at the London Stadium.
Even if the club are not prepared to release him, his days are clearly numbered in east London.

Wilson leaving the Hammers in January will shock nobody.
However, his potential next destination may well raise some eyebrows!
Spanish outlet Orgullo Biri claim that La Liga side Sevilla have been monitoring Wilson’s situation for a few weeks now.
And Sevilla could make a move to sign the experienced hitman imminently.
West Ham wrong to let Wilson leave?
If Wilson does end up joining Sevilla, there will surely be some West Ham fans questioning why he’s good enough for the Spaniards, but not for their side.

Of course, Taty and Pablo may well come good for the Hammers.
However, neither of them are proven in the Premier League, while the complete opposite is true of Wilson.
What happens if the Hammers’ South American striking duo fail to fire?
Wouldn’t it be the wise move to keep Wilson around until the end of the season?
Perhaps that is exactly what the Hammers will do. However, if Wilson does end up joining Sevilla, letting him go would be a huge risk from the West Ham board.
