The force scrambled to the area off Sycamore Chase, in Pudsey, on Thursday.

Multiple police vehicles were at the scene and officers made two arrests in connection with a burglary which reportedly occurred on Tuesday.

As of Thursday afternoon, the men, aged 38 and 40, remained in police custody.

Two men, aged 21 and 46, were arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and released on bail.

In a statement released this afternoon, a spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: “A search has been undertaken of woodland off Sycamore Chase, Pudsey, in connection with an investigation into a burglary in Pudsey on 6 January.

“Two men, aged 38 and 40, have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and are currently in police custody.

“Two men, aged 21 and 46, have been arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and released on bail.”
