Millions of UK tourists have been issued a “beyond shocking” warning as their holidays to Turkey face RUIN. Holidays to Turkey are worryingly being wrecked by hours and hours worth of snowfall, with Birmingham holidaymakers among those warned.
Issuing a warning on TikTok, one content creator warned Mamaris has been under a deluge of rainfall – and she also fumed at the state of the prices.
She wrote: “16 hours of rain non stop, 1 May 2025.” She added: “Things are beyond shocking for me in Marmaris, it’s getting worse by the day.” She warned Brits were left having to spend “£100 for a coat ahead of a safari ride in the rain”.

She added: “It’s going to be the hottest day of the year in some parts of the UK reaching 30C so I thought I’d let you know how I’m getting on with the weather in Mamaris.
“The good thing is I can do some work in my room, but what I wanted to do in Marmaris is go for a massage but they’re trying to up-sell me everything so no I’m not going to do that. The rain is due to stop tomorrow luckily, which is good as I’m moving to the five-star, all-inclusive Prime Beach.”
“They rip you off in restaurants,” she said. “In some places it is cheaper than the UK here, but in some self-catering areas the prices are crazy. It’s nothing to do with inflation – it’s pure greed and they are ripping you off.”
“You definitely can’t deny the atmosphere if that’s your thing,” she added in a warning to British holidaymakers.
She said: “Basically you’re paying £9 for two glasses of juice. It’s £8 for a kids’ meal here – in Turkey it’s more expensive than the UK.
“And then adults’ meals – people like English food here and it’s shocking. Pasta, which I know isn’t English but we all enjoy it, is £12.
“Sausage and mash is £15, pie and mash is £15 and if you want a steak you’ll be paying anything from £25 upwards.
“It’s just pure greed and they’re ripping people off.”
