UAE urges Emiratis in snowstorm-hit UK to exercise caution

  • 10 January 2026

In light of the impact of Storm Goretti on parts of the United Kingdom, the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in London has urged Emirati citizens in the country to exercise caution.

The embassy has noted that these weather conditions could lead to travel difficulties and temporary disruptions to public services.

It urged citizens to strictly adhere to all safety instructions and guidelines issued by the local authorities, including weather warnings and travel advisories. In case of emergency, please contact the UAE emergency numbers: +971 800 24 or +971 800 44444.

The embassy called citizens to register with the ‘Tawajudi’ service, which enables direct communication in emergencies and allows the relevant authorities to provide timely support and assistance.
