Hundreds at Southampton Costco for Pokémon card drop

It was reported by Pokémon Deals UK that Costco stores, including Southampton, would be restocking its Prismatic Combo Bundle on January 10.

A video posted to TikTok showed queues snaking around the Costco car park, with an estimated 400 people waiting in line for the rare cards.

Pokedealsuk posted at 9.10am saying: “Southampton Costco is already insane. 400+ people (are) queuing for the Prismatic Evolutions drop.”

The queues were driven by demand for the Prismatic Evolutions Combo Bundle, part of the Pokémon Trading Card Game’s Scarlet & Violet Prismatic Evolutions expansion.

The bundle is a special retail package typically sold through warehouse stores, such as Costco and combines several products, including an Elite Trainer Box and additional booster packs.

The set features a large number of collectable cards, including rare Pokémon ex and special artwork variants, making it popular with both players and collectors.
