The Met Office placed Bradford and other parts of West Yorkshire under a yellow weather warning for snow and ice just before the weekend.

The alert was active from 2am until 3pm today, but the Met Office has since removed the warning.

Despite this, Leeds Bradford Airport is reportedly feeling the effects of the weather conditions today – with a forecast of heavy rain and high winds in Bradford and Leeds for most of this afternoon, according to the Met Office.

The 8.20am Jet2 flight from LBA to Agadir-Al Massira, in Morocco ended up setting off at 11.15am instead.

The follow flights are yet to take off:

  • 8.50am – Jet2, Fuerteventura
  • 9.30am – Jet2, Las Palmas
  • 9.45am – Jet2, Arrecife
  • 11.10am – Jet2, Geneva
  • 11.15am – Jet2, Tenerife South

There seem to be fewer issues with arrivals, with many expected to arrive on schedule, although some flights have landed later than scheduled.

The 1.40pm Jet2 plane from Alicante is now expected at 3.45pm, but the 2pm Ryanair arrival from the same airport is on schedule.

Passengers have reportedly been told that there are delays of up to 90 minutes at LBA and have been advised to check their flights in advance.
