One of the world’s most celebrated immersive light shows is set to arrive at Manchester Cathedral next week, transforming the historic space into a multi-sensory experience. The Luminiscence Manchester: The 360° Immersive Show is coming to Manchester from January 14th and tickets begin at £28.60 (£26 with a £2.60 booking fee) here.
Luminiscence Manchester: The 360° Immersive Show is an immersive projection concert that is making its UK debut. The experience uses large-scale 360° video mapping and surround sound to illuminate the cathedral’s architecture, allowing visitors to walk through the space as it shifts and transforms around them.
The Luminiscence Manchester: The 360° Immersive Show runs for around 45 minutes and is designed as a standing, walk-through experience, with seating available on request. At the heart of the production is a celebration of Manchester’s music and cultural history.
The tickets are available from Fever.

This show is said to be a unique 360° walk-through immersive experience, celebrating the music, story and culture of Manchester.
New choral arrangements of iconic tracks including Bitter Sweet Symphony by The Verve and Joy Division’s Love Will Tear Us Apart are performed live by Collectives Gospel Choir, filling the cathedral with sound. The visuals are paired with a specially commissioned script by BAFTA and Olivier Award winning writer Tim Whitnall, with narration by Manchester actor Christopher Eccleston.
The experience has already been seen by more than one million people across Europe and offers a rare opportunity to rediscover one of Manchester’s most recognisable landmarks after dark. Suitable for all ages, it is designed to be enjoyed by couples, families and groups, with wheelchair access throughout the venue and family and group ticket options available.
For those who want something a little different, the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester currently has Singin’ In The Rain on show until 25th January. Tickets begin from £12 on the Manchester Theatres website, and it follows the much-loved story of the highs and lows of Hollywood through the act of tap dancing.
