Brisbane Broncos have revealed their training plans ahead of their World Club Challenge clash against Hull KR, and will use a state-of-the-art training base to prepare for the fixture.
Head coach Michael McGuire, who was boss of South Sydney Rabbitohs when the side defeated St Helens 39-0 in the competition in 2015, vowed to take the competition seriously, and with their schedule now set, it’s fair to say the Broncos have pulled out all the stops to defeat the Robins.
Flying to the UK on February 10, just over one week before the game, the NRL Champions will use The Lensbury training centre in London, a world class facility used by the likes of the All Blacks and Manchester United in previous years.
The pitches there are classed as Grade 5, the same as Wembley Stadium, with the complex also having gym and swimming facilities, as well as professional chefs on hand to cook personalised meals for the players.
Before they make the trip to the Northern Hemisphere, the club will go on a two-week training camp in Toowoomba, as they look to dot the i’s and cross the t’s ahead of their 2026 campaign.

Brisbane Broncos star makes ambitious World Club Challenge plea
Talking to the AAP, an Australian media outlet, Broncos star Corey Jensen, has spoken about what it would mean to the club if they were to lift the trophy on February 19.
“At the Broncos we strive to win trophies,” he said. “That has been our motto since Madge [Michael Maguire] came to the club.
“We are under no illusions that they want to win it the same way we want to. It is going to be a good test. An Australian team hasn’t won it for a while.
“The English take it personally so it is up to us to match it with them and bring the trophy back to Australia.”
The last time an NRL side won the competition was back in 2020, when Sydney Roosters defeated St Helens in the UK, with the Chooks taking a 20-12 victory.
Whilst Broncos star Patrick Carrigan has been deemed fit to play, the same can’t be said just yet for fellow forward, Brendan Piakura.
The back rower has picked up a knee injury in training, but the club are yet to confirm the prognosis.
Commenting in his teammates’ knock, Jensen said: “He is getting around okay in the gym. Hopefully it’s not too bad and he’ll be back out there training with us soon.”
