Liverpool take on Barnsley to round off a weekend of FA Cup third-round action on Monday night. The Reds took a vital point home against Arsenal on Thursday night and will look to build on this draw by progressing to the next round of the cup competition.

Arne Slot’s side held their own at the Emirates, but the Dutchman faced yet another defensive setback when Conor Bradley was taken off on a stretcher in injury time after going down uncontested.

Bradley was seen leaving the ground on crutches as Slot rued the Reds’ already-congested injury list. Speaking post-match, he said: “I’m afraid that another injury has come up today, let’s hope for the best, but I fear the worst for Conor Bradley.”

Unfortunately for the Reds, Slot has plenty of injuries to contend with ahead of this FA Cup clash. Bradley is an obvious miss at right-back and only adds to Liverpool’s worries.

Alexander Isak, Wataru Endo, Stefan Bajcetic and Giovanni Leoni are all confirmed absentees for the Barnsley game, with Hugo Ekitike fighting to make the matchday squad. Mohamed Salah remains unavailable as he is still on AFCON duty.

On the other hand, Barnsley are in a much stronger position in terms of squad availability as they look to recreate their giant-killing against the Reds in the FA Cup in 2008. No fresh injury concerns have been reported by Conor Hourihane’s side.
