The demonstrations took place near the Cenotaph on St Augustine’s Parade on Saturday, January 10, and prompted a significant police presence in the area from 9am.
A protest organised by Bristol Patriots began around noon, and the group marched to Castle Park and around Broadmead before returning to the Cenotaph shortly before 1pm.
A man and a woman were arrested under the Public Order Act on suspicion of using threatening, abusive, or insulting words to cause harassment, alarm, or distress.
A second man was arrested on suspicion of refusing to abide by a section 60AA order to remove a face covering upon request by an officer.
Acting inspector Sean Underwood said: “Today’s protest and counter-protest passed mostly without incident.
“I would like to recognise and thank the officers and staff who have worked throughout the day to enable both protests to take place peacefully, especially those who have come in on their days off.”
