The head of the production company behind TV drama Adolescence said the star-studded ceremony at the Golden Globe Awards felt “a millions miles” from his Doncaster upbringing.

The Netflix show, made by Sheffield-based Warp Films, took home four trophies, including for Best Limited Series and Best Supporting Actor at the 83rd Golden Globes.

Mark Herbert, CEO of Warp Films, described several surreal moments at the event, recalling how actor George Clooney walked past during his BBC Radio Sheffield interview and how he later bumped into Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in the toilets.

Herbert, from Conisbrough, said: “It’s crazy. I did have to pinch myself because there’s absolute legends there.”
