A sinkhole filled with water has appeared on a residential road.
A resident of Park Avenue North in Harpenden, Hertfordshire, said they reported the hole to emergency services earlier.
When speaking to the BBC, a workman estimated the hole was about 16.4ft (5m) wide and 13.12ft (4m) deep.
Hertfordshire Constabulary has advised people to avoid the area as Park Avenue North and connecting road Park Avenue South were closed.
