Three teenagers sent a man messages using a fake name before his death at a seaside resort, a court has heard.

Alexander Cashford, 49, from Kent, was found with multiple injuries in Leysdown-on-Sea on the Isle of Sheppey on 10 August.

Prosecutor Kate Blumgart KC told jurors at Woolwich Crown Court that a 16-year-old girl and two boys aged 15 and 16, who all deny one count of murder, first met him two days earlier in the Kent village.

Cashford gave the girl his phone number and the teenagers sent him messages using the fake name Sienna, arranging to meet him again by the sea wall, the court heard.
