A Welsh mum-of-two has won a life changing £1m after spontaneously deciding to buy a scratchcard. The woman, in her 40s and from Caerphilly. can now buy a new home with her winnings and put money towards her children’s futures.
The woman, who has not been named, had been shopping at a supermarket when she saw a suitcase on sale near the exit.
Deciding to buy the suitcase, and choosing to pay for it at the lottery till near the exit, the woman saw a poster advertising the Millionaire Maker scratchcard.

She said: “I feel excited, but absolutely still in shock.
“Winning for us means that we can upgrade our holidays, buy a new home, and look after our kids by giving them something for the future.”
Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, congratulated the Caerphilly winner, saying: “What wonderful news for our winner and her family, and what an amazing story.
