A tour group in Yellowstone National Park on Sunday witnessed a spectacular chase involving a wolf and coyote.
The accompanying footage, captured by Yellowstone Tour Guides, is revealing in that it shows the vast size difference between the two species.

It also reveals that coyotes, though significantly smaller than wolves, are extremely quick.
Yellowstone Tour Guides assured via Facebook: “No coyotes were injured during this chase.”

The tour guide caught only part of the chase, with a cellphone camera, after safely pulling over. (Click here if video player does not appear below.)
The group’s “epic” outing included sightings of five wolves, eight coyotes, six moose, mountain goats, bison, eagles, bighorn sheep, pronghorn, deer, and swans.
