A Sheffield attempted murder suspect remains at large after a Christmas Day shooting.
A 20-year-old man was shot in Wilfred Drive in Darnall at 11.27pm on Thursday, December 25. He remains in critical and life-threatening condition.
South Yorkshire Police issued an appeal for two suspects, Samin Khan and Raheel Mahmood. Mahmood has since been located, but police are still looking for Khan. Khan, 23, is an Asian man with black hair. He has links to Darnall.
Police have carried out work to locate Khan, including enquiries with known associates, and visits to more than a dozen addresses. They are now wanting to hear from anyone who has seen or spoken to Khan or knows where he may be staying.
Detective Chief Inspector Simon Cartwright, the Senior Investigating Officer in this case, said: “I am very thankful for the support of the public in providing information and intelligence to aid our investigation so far.
“Our officers are determined to bring those responsible for this shocking attack to justice, and have been working tirelessly to do so.”
If you see Khan, do not approach him but instead call 999. If you have any other information about where he might be, you can contact police online or by calling 101. Quote incident number 732 of December 25, 2025.
