The business saw off competition from across the country to be recognised as the Scottish Winner of the inaugural MPs’ Food and Drink Award, following a celebration held in the Houses of Parliament.
Founder, Scott McGinlay, attended the awards ceremony at Thames Pavilion in the Houses of Parliament in Westminster, joined by his mother Evelyn Dale, after being nominated by Paisley and Renfrewshire South MP, Johanna Baxter.
The event brought together Members of Parliament, senior industry representatives and some of the UK’s most exciting small and medium-sized food and drink producers to celebrate excellence, craftsmanship and community impact.

Hosted by the Food and Drink Federation, the MPs’ Food and Drink Awards were created to shine a national spotlight on independent manufacturers who play a vital role in local economies while upholding the UK’s reputation for quality food and drink. Following strong competition from across the country, ChalkStream from South East England was named the overall UK winner.
Paisley Pie Co. was recognised for its distinctive blend of innovation and tradition, combining classic Scottish pie-making with bold flavours, creativity, and uncompromising craftsmanship. Judges praised the company’s contribution to Paisley’s food culture, its commitment to quality ingredients, and its growing role in supporting the local economy.
The award also builds on recent success for the business, which was named Renfrewshire’s Favourite Business at the 2024 ROCCO Awards, further cementing its status as a standout local brand with national potential.
Johanna Baxter MP said: “It was an absolute honour to welcome Scott and Evelyn to Parliament to showcase our community’s entrepreneurs and brilliant food.
“I nominated Scott because I wanted to spotlight the very best of our community on a national stage. Paisley Pie Co. embodies everything that makes our area stand out: innovation rooted in tradition, real creativity, and a shared love of genuinely good food. Their success is something Paisley can be incredibly proud of.
“Founded in Paisley, Paisley Pie Co. continues to prove that when tradition is respected and creativity is allowed to thrive, local businesses can compete on a national stage.”
