An investigation has been launched after human remains were found in woodland in West Yorkshire.
Police were called to a site between Emley and Clayton West on Wednesday after a caller reported finding what appeared to be bones while clearing a patch of waste ground.
West Yorkshire Police said forensic specialists had confirmed the bones to be human, adding that it was “believed they have been there for some time”.
A force spokesperson said further forensic testing was due to be carried out.
