Maybe I’m getting older, but is the BBC on a roll at the moment? From ‘The Traitors’ and ‘Race Across the World’ to ‘Film Club’ and ‘The Night Manager’, and everything in between, I’ve been glued to Auntie Beeb all winter long—who needs Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, Apple TV and the rest, hey?

Now, the BBC is inviting young people to step-behind-scenes of its most beloved content in Birmingham. On Thursday, February 5, the industrial warehouse Secret Space in Digbeth will be transformed into an arena packed with interactive zones, live moments and behind-the-scenes access to some of the BBC’s biggest titles.

Take on a mission from series four of ‘The Traitors’, step onto the set of an ‘EastEnders’ scene, or tear through a ‘Race Across the World’ speed-packing challenge. If that wasn’t enough, take on the BBC Sport Crossbar Challenge, try being a Radio 1 Dance DJ or learn how news stories are produced with BBC Verify.

There will also be live sets from Birmingham-based DJs from BBC youth networks, panel chats and creator-focused sessions. Meanwhile, the BBC Early Careers Team will be offering advice on careers, CV building and apprenticeships. Aimed at anyone aged 16 to 24, BBC UNBOXD Live is unmissable for anyone interested in the media.

How do I get tickets?

Tickets are free, but limited, and will be allocated by random draw—with two sessions to choose from, 2pm to 5pm, and 5pm to 8pm. You can apply for up to four tickets and will be notified by text message if you’re successful. You can register at any time until 11.59pm on Sunday, January 25.
