The victim “was left with shotgun injuries to his shoulder and the back of his head but survived the attack,” officers said.

In the moments leading up to the shooting, Adyan Hussain drove off in the Mokko and changed its number plates, before driving to the scene, the force said.

After the attack, he dumped the car in Oldbury then both men collected it the following day and changed its plates for a second time.

Adyan Hussain, of Salisbury Road, West Bromwich, pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, and was sentenced to 11 years and three months at a hearing on 4 November.

Naveed Hussain, of Ida Road, West Bromwich, admitted assisting an offender and on 9 January, was sentenced to four years in prison.
