Paco Jemez has just joined Nuno Espirito Santo’s coaching staff at West Ham United.
Jemez was announced as one of the first-team coaches at West Ham just 24 hours ago.
Now a stunning claim has been made about the 55-year-old Spaniard.
Nuno is delighted to have Paco Jemez on board at West Ham, and he is really hopeful that he’ll be able to make a difference.

It’s fair to say that Nuno Espirito Santo has underperformed since taking over at the London Stadium in September.
Hopefully the arrival of Jemez will help Nuno find the magic formula for success at West Ham.
There is so much work to do but at least Jemez’s arrival at the club seems to have perked up Nuno.

The Spaniard is renowned for his penchant for extremely attacking football.
Pep Guardiola is famously a huge Paco Jemez fan, as is Paris Saint German manager Luis Enrique.
There’s good reason why he’s adored by such huge names in the game.
In the early-mid 2010s, his Rayo Vallecano finished eighth in La Liga and they were an absolute joy to watch.

They averaged the fifth-highest possession on the continent, behind only Manchester City, Paris Saint Germain, Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
It will be very interesting to see if he is able to have an immediate impact on the way that the Hammers play.
However, and perhaps more importantly, a very interesting claim has been made about the former Rayo Vallecano boss, just 24 hours after he joined West Ham.
According to a report from AS, Jemez turned down several offers from other clubs before committing to a contract with West Ham.

It has to be said, those are the kind of people you want around the club when things aren’t going well.
There are too many passengers at West Ham right now.
People who are just there to pick up their money and leave as soon as they can.
The good news for West Ham is that Paco Jemez doesn’t seem that way inclined whatsoever.
The Hammers need a miracle right now and it may well have arrived in the form of a supremely attack-minded 55-year-old Spaniard.
