
RESIDENTS of a Glasgow tower block have been forced to evacuate after a blaze.
Mercy crews raced to the scene on Wester Common Road in Glasgow at around 2pm this afternoon after the alarm was raised.

Police have launched an investigation into the blaze.
The force is urging the public to steer clear of the area.
No one was injured.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2pm on Friday, 16 January 2026, we received a report of a fire at a property on Wester Common Road, Glasgow.

“Emergency services are in attendance and people are asked to avoid the area.
“There were no reports of any injuries.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the cause of the fire.”
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has been contacted for comment.
