The Earlestown natives will bring a vibrant live set to The Halliwell Jones Stadium ahead of the Super League Round One clash with St Helens on February 13.

The band’s latest album “Pretty On The Internet” went to number one in the UK album charts and having taken the local scene by storm, they have become one of the country’s most exciting indie bands.

The Wire are marketing this fixture as their biggest home opener since their stadium’s opening night back in 2004 and have promised much more off-field entertainment including a light show, revamped fan zones and a new half-time challenge.

Tickets are selling well and are believed to have ticked well past the 9,000 mark already with a month of sales still to go.

St Helens confirmed yesterday that they have sold more than 2,000 tickets for the away section.
