Danny Rohl has helped beat off some stiff English and European competition to keep Kyle Glasgow at Rangers

The academy graduate is set to sign professional terms with the Light Blues in the coming days. Ibrox sources have confirmed that the Scotland and Portuguese youth international has agreed a two-and-a-half year deal with the Light Blues.

He is set to commit to Rangers until the summer 2028. Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan and Benfica and a string of top English Premier League clubs had all been chasing the talented teenager. Glasgow is expected to sign his deal when he returns from the Alkass International Cup in Doha with the young Gers.

Rohl has made a major impression on the player. The German has shown there is a clear pathway for emerging talent.

That has helped convince Glasgow to remain at Rangers. Rohl has already had Glasgow training with the first-team.

The Rangers manager has also spoken of his frustration that he has been unable to field the likes of Glasgow and their other academy talent because they are still only 15. It is a major boost to Rangers who have lost several top academy stars to England in recent years.
