Nicola Sturgeon on Irish Unity, Scottish independence, NI political figures and her fondness of Belfast

Former Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon believes she will see a united Ireland in the next 20 years.

She also expects that Scotland will have broken away from the Union in that same timeframe.

The former SNP leader was speaking at Belfast Summit during a visit to Belfast on Thursday.

However, she is clear it is ultimately a matter for voters in Northern Ireland to decide.

Ms Sturgeon was also speaking to the Belfast Telegraph about her admiration for senior political figures in Northern Ireland, Scottish independence, and says that Belfast “feels like a home from home.”
