What do Jarrod Bowen, Jesse Lingard and Diafra Sakho all have in common? Apart from spells in the claret and blue shirt of West Ham United, of course?
Well, they are the only Hammers ever to score in four successive Premier League games.
Captain Jarrod Bowen achieved the feat in the final few matches of last season, finding the net against Tottenham, Manchester Utd, Nottingham Forest and Ipswich Town. Jesse Lingard – the former West Ham loanee may be heading to Italy by the way – did the same when lighting up the top-flight during that wondrous loan spell in East London.
Diafra Sakho actually went one better. Well, two better, technically.
Summerville can do something only three Hammers have done before! ⚽⚽⚽⚽

During his debut season as a West Ham United player, Sakho actually scored in six straight matches. As signings go, the deal which brought him to the Premier League from the French second tier a decade ago is surely one of the most inspired.
Now, Crysencio Summerville has only scored in two straight league matches as it stands. Although it could – and some will say ‘should’ have been three, his volley against Nottingham Forest ruled out for a contentious offside.
But if you expand the parameters to all competitions, including the FA Cup, Summerville will become only the fourth West Ham player to score in four straight matches since the Premier League era began.
Since legendary Tony Cottee in 1986, actually.

To quote young left-back Ollie Scarles, Crysencio Summerville is ‘on flames’ right now.
Confidence is a helluva drug. 25 matches and 14 months without a goal, and now three in three. West Ham head to Chelsea on Saturday with confidence coursing through their veins. No one epitomises their sudden upturn in form better than the now-deadly Dutchman.
“Cry’s been brilliant, and everyone can see that he’s on flames at the moment,” said Scarles, whose overlapping runs have helped to unlock the space his fellow left-sider needs to drift infield.
“I feel like we’ve got a good relationship. I’m looking forward to seeing how we can develop that further going forward.”

Nuno must pick between Scarles and El Hadji Malick Diouf at Stamford Bridge. The former arguably deserves to keep his place. But the latter, a more swashbuckling full-back, could actually help release even more of Summerville’s potential.
“What’s happening is that the players are starting to know themselves better, the connections are starting to appear, the flow of the game, and ‘Cry’ is giving us what he should give us more times,” Nuno said during his press conference on Thursday.
“Goals, assists, threat, [and] he defends a lot.
“He’s doing well. We keep insisting more and more because he can give more, and all our players can give more.”
Nuno just keeps demanding ‘more’ from Summerville. And, to his credit, the former Leeds and Feyenoord winger just keeps on delivering.
“Right now, I’m very excited and happy,” Summerville said after scoring his first Premier League goal since the Julen Lopetegui era during that 2-1 win at Tottenham.
“Personally, I feel I’m in a good space. I was really happy to score.”
Do so again, in another London derby, and Summerville will join Bowen, Lingard and Sakho in the record books.
