Hamish Irvine from Guiseley, who was named Yorkshire and North East England Wedding Photographer of the Year in November, went on to finish as runner-up in the national final of the 2026 Wedding Industry Awards.
The 30-year-old has been praised for his vibrant style and focus on capturing joyful, emotional moments.
Hamish said: “The Yorkshire and North East regional honour was amazing.
“Now to come in the top two in the country is beyond all expectations.
“There are so many great wedding photographers around, it’s an honour for my work to be commended this way.”
A former Bradford Grammar School student and Leeds Arts University graduate, Hamish has been photographing weddings since he was 16.
He said: “Reflecting that connection in couples’ photographs is what I strive for and cherish the most.
“I’m lucky in that I love my job and it’s a privilege to get to know people and tell their stories through my eye.”
Client testimonials praised his work as energetic and deeply personal, with one couple writing: “If we had to build our very own wedding photographer from scratch, it would be Hamish.”
