A LEGENDARY seventies rock band has announced an exciting gig at a unique Glasgow venue later this year.
Sparks will be performing in front of a packed crowd at the Kelvingrove Bandstand in the summer.

The iconic rock duo will take to the stage in the west end of the city on Sunday, June 14.
Sparks comprises brothers Ron and Russell Mael, with Ron performing on the keyboard and Russell being the vocalist.
The US rockers first formed in 1968 in the Pacific Palisades, in Los Angeles, and were originally named Halfnelson.
But they re-named themselves as Sparks a few years later before storming the UK charts in 1974 with their hit single This Town Ain’t Big Enough For Both of Us.

They are also famed for a string of other hits, including Amateur Hour, Never Turn Your Back on Mother Earth, The Number One Song in Heaven and Beat the Clock.
The duo are loved by fans for their genre-bending music, witty lyrics, and theatrical style.
As well as Glasgow, Sparks will be travelling to several other cities across the UK for an exciting run of shows.
They will kick off at London‘s Royal Hospital Chelsea on Friday, June 12, before heading north of the border two days later for the gig in Glasgow.
On Monday, June 15, Sparks will perform in the Opera House in Blackpool and then at Bournemouth International Centre on Wednesday, June 17.
The following day, the brothers will take to the stage at Bristol Beacon Hall before a final show at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on Saturday, June 20.
Tickets for the Sparks’ huge gig in Glasgow are set to go on sale tomorrow at 10am, here.
Sparks shared the news of their upcoming shows with fans on social media this week.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the duo wrote: “UK! Sparks return for a slew of shows in June!

Excited fans flocked to the comments of the post to share their delight.
One person said: “I’m so excited I can’t sleep… You’re brilliant”.

While a fourth posted: “Well there goes my budget. And in the best way.”
And a fifth chimed in: “See you in Glasgow!”
It is the second time that the band has come to Glasgow within a year after performing at the Royal Concert Hall last June.
The duo came to the city as part of their 2025 MAD! Tour, which was in honour of their 28th studio album.
They travelled across the UK and Europe for the tour over the summer, after the album MAD! was released in May.
