Bruno Fernandes has received a response from Marcus Rashford after Manchester United’s 3-2 Premier League win over Fulham at Old Trafford. Casemiro, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko were on the scoresheet for the Reds.

Sesko scored the winner for Michael Carrick’s side, his fifth in the campaign. “I’ve been dreaming about that,” the striker said afterwards. “We all know, as a team, how important these results are.

“We are on a really great run right now and we are just hoping that we can continue to work hard like that to win games. I’m really happy that I could help the team out.”

United’s much‑improved form has seen them record three successive wins, with interim head coach Carrick maintaining his unbeaten start.

Taking to Instagram, Fernandes shared pictures without a caption and received several messages from current and former Reds players.

Rashford led the reaction, simply responding with a star emoji. The United loanee is currently spending the season on loan at Barcelona, where he has settled well in Catalonia.

The Spanish giants hold an option to make the move permanent for £26 million, and reports suggest they are prepared to trigger the clause.

Goalscorer Cunha replied with a magic‑wand and heart emoji, while Lisandro Martinez added: ‘Football,’ followed by a magic‑wand and star‑struck emoji.

United sit fourth in the Premier League, five points behind third‑placed Aston Villa and six behind second‑placed Manchester City after both sides dropped points. Villa lost 1-0 at home to Brentford, while City were held to a 2–2 draw at Tottenham Hotspur.

“I’ve said it before the City game, I think this is a special place and it does special things,” Carrick told reporters after the match. “Credit to the boys. We knew today was going to be a really tough game.

“I’ve been getting questions all week, breaking down a low block, beating teams that we’re supposed to beat. It was never the case today as Fulham are a really good, good team. I knew we were going to have a lot of questions to answer. I’d been talking to the players all week about how good Fulham are and the dangers.

“Don’t just assume we’ll turn up and, if we play well, we’ll win. I said to the players at half-time the game was going the way I thought it would go. It’d be hard work because they’re a good team. They were 5-1 down to City and ended up pushing them to the limits at 5-4. Credit to the boys, it was a late goal we conceded last week to then go and win and, especially today, it was even more tough to take probably, to then find a winner for Benji.”

Up next is another home clash against Tottenham on Saturday, February 7 at 12:30pm.
