Bristol Rovers have signed three players on deadline day to bring their total haul for the winter transfer window to nine.
The Gas have picked up Oldham Athletic striker Joe Quigley for an undisclosed fee, while midfielders Tommy Leigh and Richie Smallwood have arrived until the end of the season.
Quigley, who has signed until 2028, has scored three times for the Latics in 19 appearances this season.
The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international is a product of Bournemouth’s youth academy but left the Cherries without playing a senior game and has spent most of his career in the National League.
Head coach Steve Evans said: “I’ve known Joe as an opponent for many years, and up close against my teams, and I can say our centre-backs have never had an easy afternoon when he’s been in the opposition side.
“The lad has never been known as a big goalscorer, but he has an excellent reputation as a goal creator, and a fierce competitor.”
Leigh joined Bradford from MK Dons a year ago but has failed to nail down a regular spot at Valley Parade.
Evans said: “He can play anywhere in a midfield three, and he can even play as a striker if we ask him to. He can play as a six, an eight or a ten; he’s accomplished in all positions.”
Former Bradford player Smallwood, who was named in last season’s League Two Team of the Season for his part in the Bantams’ promotion campaign and made Tranmere Rovers captain after joining them last summer, has also joined on loan for the remainder of the campaign.
