Leeds United are eyeing a summer move for Borussia Dortmund defender Daniel Larsson, according to German publication Bild.
It was a quiet January transfer window for the Yorkshire club, with Facundo Buonanotte the only arrival on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion after a similar agreement with Chelsea was terminated.
Daniel Farke had been keen to add another striker to his squad to support Dominic Calvert-Lewin too, but Leeds were unwilling to Rraise their bid to meet Wolverhampton Wanderers’ price tag for Jorgen Strand Larsen, who ended up joining Crystal Palace instead on deadline day.
If Leeds do secure Premier League survival this term, they will know that they can’t stand still in the transfer market come the summer.
Leeds Ready to Rival Arsenal for Svensson

Svensson only joined Dortmund on a permanent deal last summer following a successful loan spell from Nordsjaelland, but that didn’t stop Premier League interest from Nottingham Forest as the Bundesliga giants completed a move for the 23-year-old.
After half a season as an official Dortmund player, the Swede is now attracting more interest from England in the form of Leeds and Arsenal.
According to Bild, Leeds in particular are keen on the full-back and have been impressed with his performances as they look to strengthen in that area in the summer transfer window.
Svensson has played 30 matches in all competitions after establishing himself for Dortmund this term, so he’s anything but a bit-part player, with his ‘significant improvement’ under the leadership of Niko Kovac resulting in admiring glances from elsewhere.
Svensson Situation is Complicated

Svensson’s future at Signal Iduna Park could be decided by what happens with fellow defender Nico Schlotterbeck.
The 26-year-old’s contract with Dortmund is due to expire in the summer of 2027, with the club wanting to offer the Germany international a bumper new salary worth €14m per year.
Bild say the chances of Schlotterbeck remaining with the Bundesliga club currently stand at ’50/50′, and should he leave it could change the futures of his defensive teammates.
Svensson – who has been described as a ‘Camavinga clone’ – is included on a list of defenders who could also change clubs after this season, as part of a domino effect involving Schlotterbeck.
Should Leeds win any transfer battle and the Swede ends up arriving at Elland Road in 2026, he would be competing with international teammate Gabriel Gudmundsson for the left-back spot in Farke’s starting XI.
